the forever war against women

The Cultural Left has been bleating about a supposed war on women for quite a while now. They’re both right and wrong about this. There is a war on women going on, but it’s not being waged by the Religious Right. It’s being waged by an alliance of intersectional feminists and the LGBTwhatever lobby. And one thing needs to be clearly understood. These days the LGBTwhatever lobby is effectively the T lobby. They’re the ones calling the shots.

Social conservatives and conservative Christians are, as usual, utterly clueless about this. It always amuses me when these rightists start speculating about what’s coming next, after World War T. What they fail to understand is that World War T has only just begun. What we’ve seen so far have been preliminary skirmishes. The ultimate objective is to erase women.

The campaign to erase women is being conducted by men. Men in frocks. The existence of actual women is offensive to these men, for obvious reasons. They want to become women but they have difficulty in persuading anyone to regard them as women so they are naturally bitter and resentful towards actual women who have no difficulty being regarded as women. There are also those who claim to belong to any one of 117 different genders. No-one is going to take their claims seriously as long as most people continue to recognise the existence of actual women. These extreme members of the LGBTwhatever lobby face a huge problem as long as most people regard a woman as a human being who has two XX chromosomes and a vagina. They want us to consider a man with an X and a Y chromosome and a penis as a woman. Therefore it is necessary for them to push the line that having two XX chromosomes and a vagina is not what defines a woman.

Now I’m not arguing that a woman is defined solely by her vagina. But being born with two XX chromosomes and a vagina really is an absolutely crucial defining characteristic of a woman. If a man with a penis can be accepted as a woman then being a woman becomes meaningless. A woman’s entire experience of being a woman becomes meaningless.

And intersectional feminists are not merely enabling but actively supporting a misogynistic campaign to erase women.

It’s also, interestingly enough, a campaign (being conducted by men) to control women’s sexuality. If a woman does not need to have a vagina then the whole idea of women’s sexuality becomes meaningless.

It’s worth pointing out that Second Wave feminists back in the 70s were angry that women’s sexuality was (in their view) controlled by the patriarchy. But they did not want to give women control over their own sexuality - the feminists wanted to be the ones who controlled female sexuality, rather than the patriarchy. They did not want men telling women what to do. They wanted to be the ones who told women what to do. Today we have a situation in which men in frocks seek to be the ones controlling women’s sexuality, and the younger generations of feminists are A-OK with that.

Social conservatives and conservative Christians are incapable of offering any serious resistance on this issue because, let’s be honest, they also dislike the idea of allowing women to make their own choices.

World War T is a real war on women and it’s hardly even started. It will continue until women are erased completely.

  1. They have nothing to offer because... ta-da... there is nothing to offer in this case but the recent Chinese way of dealing with the issue. Period. And this Chinese policy is not something you should offer or declare - you just have to implement it, to walk the walk.

  2. "But being born with two XX chromosomes and a vagina really is an absolutely crucial defining characteristic of a woman."

This line made me laugh out loud. Not because your point is absurd. It is eminently sensible. It's just a mark of how absurd and nonsensical the current discourse has become that you have stated a what many consider thoughtcrime. Really it's absurd that one even has to state it at all.

How are you making out Down Under with the Covidiocy? I've heard that their are at least protests to counter the lockdowns, along with draconian responses, naturally.

I finally decided to look up your blog since AE's thread petered out. I'll try to keep up with it.

There are interesting things happening beneath the surface. Such as a growing hatred of the police. In recent days I've heard very PC very Woke Zoomer women (the group you'd expect to be most supportive of the New Totalitarianism) expressing absolute loathing for the police. These are women who support the lockdowns, but they're outraged and angry over the way the police have enforced them. There's both a growing hatred and a growing fear of the police.

And there's a growing mistrust of government. I suspect that this is not showing up in the opinion polls.

      Good to see you here!

  3. That's good news in my book if there is a growing loathing of government sanctioned force. It does seem that Australia, like parts of Europe has been far more overtly heavy handed than the U.S. Perhaps the cognitive dissonance of watching police crack down (for their own good) on citizens guilty of gathering outdoors is finally too much for even woke women? One can hope.

I saw that CJ Hopkins (formerly at Unz) put out an article a few weeks back in which he judged that the best way to wake people up to the reality of the Covid situation was to force the government's hand to drop the mask and go overtly authoritarian. It seemed to me like a decent point, one which is perhaps playing out in your end if the world.

In the U.S. people are starting to see that it's gone too far and still on the fast-track, though if in enough numbers to do anything it's hard to tell. The family and I are going to a mandate protest later this week and I'm continuing to write on Covid through my piece in the local paper but it feels like trying to push back a landslide with an umbrella.

Two thoughts that I had on the whole situation...
The great plethora of crusades to pick from in the modern era, effectively neuter them all since people gravitate toward ones most in their niche.

Has there ever been a successful instance of turning the tide on a full bore top-down propaganda campaign (as the Covid narrative certainly is)? Fear is a powerful suppressant of rational thought, and is a tough hurdle to overcome.

    Any thoughts?

      I agree.

I can't think of one. It only happens if the propaganda campaign no longer enjoys overwhelming elite support. The anti-Communist hysteria of the 50s had faded somewhat by the late 60s but that's because the elites were no longer interested in it.

I don't think fear is the problem. The problem is that people are naturally incredibly conformist. They want to be told what to think. In democratic societies the desire to conform is even stronger. Democracy encourages rigid conformism.
